GETTING TO THE GORGE

Allow at least an hour from Nelson to The Gorge. Half of the journey is on sealed roads – the other half is on unsealed roads that are rough with a couple of fords. A 4WD is not required but reasonable ground clearance is a good idea.  

Plan to arrive at The Gorge by 8am, this will allow time for you to get set up for you day riding, crew briefing and loading onto the shuttle.
